At St Andrew’s Catholic Primary School Malabar, students are encouraged to be actively involved in a wide range of decisions. There is a Student Representative Council which is made up of students from Years 2 to 6. This is elected by the students. Similarly, students are also elected by peers to be part of the Mini Mercies group who works on social justice initiatives.
Outside of the classroom, Year 6 students are provided with opportunities to be Playground Monitors where they look out for students who may be lonely or having peer issues.
These activities help others and seek to make the world a better place.
