Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.
Each year every student in Years 2, 3 and 6 at St Andrew’s Catholic Primary School Malabar attend a Sacramental spirituality day reflecting on their faith and spirituality.
Students also attend whole school celebrations two to three times a term, which include feast day Masses. Individual grades attend class Masses once per term and Years 3–6 celebrate reconciliation termly.
Students share their faith with the community through prayer assemblies, class prayer opportunities and outreach. Our senior students visit the local nursing homes weekly to share stories and song.
