Choir

Choirs are a wonderful way to extend children’s love of singing and help them to develop fundamental musical skills. Choir rehearsals at St Andrew’s Malabar incorporate musical games and movement activities with vocal warm-ups, singing a range of repertoire in unison and rounds, and learning a range of fun songs. There are also opportunities to represent our school in a range of Eisteddfods.

Music

We have a specialised music teacher who works closely with the classroom teachers to design and implement a music program based on the NSW Syllabus and NESA Standards. Students are provided with the opportunity to compose, create, and perform music in the music classroom while building a repertoire of songs that target particular abilities relevant to their level of musical study.
